It’s time to uncover the life you actually want for yourself

and finally go after that thing that lights you up (even if you have no idea what that ‘thing’ is yet)

Join the group coaching program that supports you to Have the Life You Actually Want

You have spent your whole life being good at what you do

maroon vertical line

You’ve worked hard to build a successful career and have received a ton of praise and recognition along the way.

(And yes, managing a household and raising your fabulous children counts.)

But you could do your job in your sleep and it just doesn’t excite you anymore.

You want something else.

maroon vertical line

You want a new job.
And maybe even a new life

But at this stage, you don’t want just ANY job.

You’ve already done that.

You’ve said ‘yes’ to jobs that weren’t a good fit and have left you wanting more.

Up until now, you’ve agreed to what other people want you to do because their

Validation feels really good

But you don’t feel good doing these jobs – at least not enough of the time.

That’s why you want ‘THE’ job.

You want to do something meaningful, something you’re interested in instead of spending your day hating everyone that you work with.

You get really excited thinking about it and how it would change your life.

the life you actually want

But you don’t believe you can have the job — and therefore

The life —
you actually want

You tell yourself you’re not qualified, and the only way to become qualified is to go back to school or take on a job you don’t want as a stepping stone in order to gain more skills and experience.

And if this ‘dream job’ did exist, all the evidence you manage to find is that it either doesn’t pay enough or you wouldn’t be able to have it without a ton of effort.

You don’t want to have to spend all that time networking, going on coffee dates, and enduring stressful interviews with no call backs.

So you come to the sensible conclusion that since going for the life you really want would involve so much stuff you really don’t want, you’re left feeling skeptical and unwilling to explore it any further.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

You only believe you can’t have what you want

because of everything you have been taught by society (or your parents) along the way

maroon vertical line

So it makes sense

that you don’t believe you can have what you want without taking a risk and that feels scary and hard.

You also really hate disappointment.

(I totally get this. Disappointment is my LEAST favorite emotion.)

If you allow yourself to dream big and tell the truth about what you want, you face the possibility of not being able to have it and feeling disappointed.

So instead, you keep your desires a secret and tell yourself they are unrealistic in order to convince yourself that you want what you currently have.

The good news is …

You’re not having a midlife crisis

The flatness, boredom and dread you live with at the moment might suggest otherwise…

But it just feels that way because your inner voice is nudging you toward the life you actually want but have convinced yourself you can’t have.

Midlife is really a gift. The gift of wisdom and knowing (and allowing yourself to know) what is a best fit for your life – that thing that lights you up.

You can have the life you actually want when you decide to listen to that voice.

I’ve created this group coaching program to show you how.

Introducing

Have the Life You actually want

maroon vertical line

The small group coaching program for women who want to feel more alive in midlife.

I am not another career coach who is going to tell you what job or change I think would be the best fit based on your strengths and weaknesses. This is a group coaching program that leverages the collective wisdom of the group to help you access what you already know about who you are, what you want, and who you want to become.

This is the beauty of being in midlife that no one talks about. You’re at a place in your life where you have so much wisdom, experience, and resourcefulness. You know yourself well and have created the stability you need to hold you while you take the leap toward what you really want.

The best news – you already have all the answers. You just haven’t asked yourself the right questions or allowed yourself to explore the possibilities from all angles.

That ends today.

Here’s what happens

when you allow yourself to explore the possibilities from all angles

"This program has allowed me to move forward and set goals to create the life I dream of."

Andrea Elrom testimonial img

“After years of hearing about Kathleen’s incredible work in the mental health field, I was presented with the opportunity to work with her as my coach.

I was looking for the next steps in my life as I found myself as a middle aged newly empty nester.

My career was certainly on the right path, yet Kathleen was able to ask the powerful questions that were looking for answers inside of me.

Her warmth, wisdom, knowledge and passion for coaching women at this crossroad has allowed me to move forward and set goals to create the life I dream of.”

Here’s what it takes for you to Have the Life You actually want

This is the 3-step process you’ll be learning and applying throughout our 3 months together

01

Tell the truth about what you want and why you don’t have it

Telling the truth to yourself is a skill and it’s the essential first step to having the life you want. Truths like:

02

Dream Big

03

Manage your fear along the way

"I joined Have the Life You Actually Want when I had come to a place where I wanted something more from my job than a paycheck or title."

Kelly Symons testimonial img

“In Kathleen’s coaching group that I had the opportunity to engage with a group of similarly situated people who could provide support, insight and ideas that helped me overcome my reticence and become more creative in my career path exploration.

With the collective wisdom and emotional support of Kathleen and my peers, I was able to clarify issues, clear away roadblocks and develop a sense of accountability that fostered innovation and drove me to act on new career opportunities.”

How it breaks down

"I didn't know exactly what to expect from group coaching…"

Jewel Smay testimonial image

“I am most impressed by how well-curated the group is and how each individual seems to have something to learn and something to give.

It is a sort of community that Dr. Kathleen has created to generate the entire group’s advancement. I can’t wait to see where we all are at the end of our journey.

Even high-performers need coaching to stretch themselves.”

YOU are the expert!

You’ve already worked with a career coach, nothing has changed, and you’re wondering what will be different this time.

Have the Life You Actually Want is a program that teaches you how to access what YOU already know about what you want to do instead of someone telling you what you should want and what you would be good at based on your strengths and weaknesses.

No one knows you better than you. So you are the best person to ask for the answers.

I may make suggestions about potential careers but ultimately this is about you getting to know yourself better and giving yourself permission to go after the things you want.

"Have the Life You Actually Want has made it easier to accept myself as I am now and take action in the face of difficult situations."

“Kathleen is exceptional at facilitating introspection and motivating change. I am energized by meeting and hearing from other strong, successful women who are also questioning the same things I am. Being supported – and held accountable – by a community of people with similar struggles has made it easier to accept myself as I am now and take action in the face of difficult situations.”

life isn't only about finding a new job

Have the Life You Actually Want

Isn’t ONLY about finding a new job

This program is about changing your life.

This often starts with your job.

Sometimes that means changing jobs entirely.

Sometimes it means figuring out what you need in order to love the job you currently have.

But sometimes it doesn’t mean changing your job at all.

You get to decide on the goal you want to achieve while in the program, whether that’s identifying a new job you actually want and taking steps to make that change or deciding to keep the job you have.

This coaching container is an opportunity to explore what you would want if you allowed yourself to dream and acknowledge your true desires.

Which means if you decide to stay at your current job, it will help you clarify how to turn it into your dream job. You will know exactly what to ask for the next time you meet with your boss AND you’ll have the ability to manage the fear that comes up when asking for what you want.

FAQs

You get to decide on the goal you want to achieve whether that is identifying what job you want, applying and interviewing for a new position, taking steps to build your ideal business, or finding new ways to love the job you currently have.

There is no requirement to change jobs. This is an opportunity to explore what you would want if you allowed yourself to dream and acknowledge your true desires. This will lead to a new job or career for some, but not everyone will decide to do something new. It may, instead, lead to a new appreciation for what you currently have.

No. The women in the group are at various stages of change. You just need to be willing to explore what is possible for you based on what you actually want in your life.

Raising a family and managing a household is a full time job that has taught you many skills and useful lessons that will be an asset to your process and to the group.

Everyone is different, so I recommend basing this on your goal for your time in this program. You can decide how much time you want to commit to the process and work at your own pace with the understanding that you will get out what you put into it.

If you are trying to explore the possibilities to clarify what you want, I would recommend you set aside 30-60 minutes per day to brainstorm ideas, examine your limiting beliefs and other obstacles (these are skills you’ll learn inside the program), and participate in the discussions on Slack. If you are looking to change jobs or start something new, you may want to create a consistent schedule that allows for a few hours per day to explore possibilities, research your options, and take your first steps forward.

The group will be composed of women in midlife who are looking to feel more alive and reclaim their vibrancy starting with their job. They will be from diverse backgrounds and be at different stages in the process. This variety will add a greater depth and breadth to the discussion and brainstorming.

This program is about teaching you how to access what you already know about what you want in your life instead of someone telling you what you should want or be good at based on a set of strengths and weaknesses. People may make suggestions but ultimately this about you getting to know yourself better and giving yourself permission to go after the things you want. You will gain the collective wisdom of the group as a powerful resource on this journey.

All calls will be recorded so you can catch up on anything you have to miss or rewatch parts that you want to review.
